LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

My favorite part of cutting hair at LJ is the confidence and knowledge I’ve gained in my skills along with the no pressure of timing, to just make sure the client has the best experience along with a quality haircut!

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

Packers, is there really any other way to grow up? Especially being from Wisconsin!

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

Good music... I enjoy everything from 70s to now as long as you can tell the emotion put behind the music. There’s a big difference between just a song and a song with feeling.

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

I enjoy cooking! Being dairy free can be challenging but fun trying to figure out different ways to make things! I’m actually working on a cookbook of my own currently!

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

Clippers all day!! Especially my blades!

LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?

I’m a huge fan of American Crew products my 3 holy grails are AC Fiber(for flat tops especially) AC Matte Clay and AC Forming Cream!

LJ: 10-second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut…

Well because it’s all about the quality not the quantity. Every client that sits in my chair is my canvas and I can’t send out half painted portraits.

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

Be a glass that’s half full not half empty!

LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?

I grew up with my mom being a cosmetologist and would go with her to work and play with the mannequin heads rolling perm rods for fun. Then my first job ended up being a receptionist at a men’s salon and that’s what sealed the deal for me. Off to beauty school it was for me!
