LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

My favorite part of cutting hair at Lady Jane's is looking forward to seeing my clients and meeting new clients! I also love that my clients are comfortable with opening up to me and letting me be apart of their lives . My clients make me the stylist that I am today.

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

My favorite sports team will always be Michigan ! I love where I’m from and I’ll always be a die hard Michigan fan . I’m also from a state that takes pride in our team & I love it .

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

In my spare time I like to fish . If I could fish everyday I would . It’s very relaxing and I love a challenge.

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

I say BOTH. Clippers and trimmers give different looks depending on how the client likes it. Yes clippers are faster and sometimes easier, but scissors can give a more textured look that I like.

LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?

My favorite product is definitely matte separation! It’s the perfect balance of a thick texture but not too thick. Also sometimes my clients use a little water to revamp the product instead of applying more. A little goes along way.

LJ: 10-second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a Haircut…

Lady Jane's is the perfect place to get a haircut because who else caters to men like we do? Nobody. Just besides a haircut, we do everything relaxing a man would love. If I were a man , I would definitely come here to get the full experience we offer.

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

“Once you realize your worth , nobody can ever stop you from being great”

LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?

I became a cosmetologist because of my mother. Growing up I wanted to be pretty just like her. She taught me how to always keep up with myself and always look presentable no matter the circumstances. My parents got me my first REAL mannequin with real hair when I was 10. That was all the motivation I needed! They always supported me to do hair and anything else I wanted to do. I love what I do, I always will.
