Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for April, Faith! She's a stylist at our Novi, Michigan salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s.

LJ: As a Wicked Awesome Stylist, what's your favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

FAITH: My favorite part would have to be the girls I work with. Being with these hardworking people every day has been amazing and all of them feel like family at this point. My clients are also a huge part of my loving being a part of this company. They are all so laid back and loyal, I wouldn't change any of them for the world.

LJ: Since sports is such a large part of the LJ experience, what's your favorite sports team & why?

FAITH: I would have to say the Red Wings. They have always been loved in my family so it has just stuck at this point.

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

FAITH: I love a lot of different music. Alternative rock has always been my go to but surprisingly I really love listening to Korean Pop music (kpop). It goes along with my love of all this nerdy and upbeat.

LJ: What do you enjoy?

FAITH: I have always been into the world of Anime, gaming and going to conventions. Cosplay is a large part of the convention experience so I taught myself to sew clothing and such. Sewing is something I have continued to do long into my career of hair.

LJ: Scissor cuts or clipper cuts?

FAITH: I like a mixture of both clippers on the sides and scissors on top. The difference in length between the sides and top gives a great style plus when I get that perfect fade on the sides it always puts a smile on my face.

LJ: What is your favorite LJ product for guys to use?

FAITH: Right now, I’m in love with the American Crew Fiber Grooming Foam. It works amazing on all my curly and wavy-haired clients. Fiber Grooming Foam adds the PERFECT amount of hold to control the frizz yet you don’t feel it in the hair at all once dry. Almost 100% of my clients with curly/wavy have ended up purchasing this amazing product.

LJ: What’s your 10 second pitch on why LJ is the ONLY place for a guy to get his haircut?

FAITH: Amazing cuts + Amazing girls = The most wicked awesome haircut of your life.

LJ: If you had a motto to live by, what would it be and why?

FAITH: "Dance like no one is watching and sing like no one is listening." I try to always stay as upbeat as possible and I feel this motto fits perfectly literally and figuratively. Heck I am known to everyone at my salon as the stylist that serenades her clients which is completely true.

LJ: What lead you to become a cosmetologist?

FAITH: I have always been into anime and dressing up at conventions which included having to style wigs. Once I got into styling and cutting wigs it all went from there.
