Stylist of the Month
Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for April, Brittany! Brittany is a Stylist at our Northville, MI salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s!
LJ: What’s the best part about working at Lady Janes that keeps you coming everyday?
The people- not only my coworkers and bosses but my clients have also become like family to me. I’ve invited a 96-year-old client to Thanksgiving since he had no one to be with, and cut his hair all the way until he was in hospice- sneaking in my clippers so he felt pretty
LJ: If you could give one professional athlete a haircut, who would it be and why?
I would have to say I would like to cut Matthew Stafford's hair. I really want to know why he chose his veneers so large and if it was hard to get used to
LJ: What type of music do you listen to?
I like every type of music- oldies, country, R&B. I guess the only type of music I don’t like is the screaming, angry music that makes you want to punch someone
LJ: What are you doing when you’re not behind the chair?
My kids are all around athletes, if it’s not football it's travel baseball, track and, basketball. Ubering them all over town and cheering them on. I also have a side hustle cleaning and building balloon arches for special events. And I love to draw and refurbish furniture so I can sell it
LJ: What’s one tool you can’t live without on your station and why?
Foil shaver is a must; I love bald fades!
LJ: In one sentence, why should someone choose Lady Jane’s for their next haircut?
It’s Wicked Awesome!
LJ: What’s a piece of advice you live by (In or out of the salon)?
Always be a better person than the day before, and give everything your all- don’t half ass anything
LJ: What inspired you to get into the hair industry?
My mom is a hairstylist amd I loved watching her cut hair when I was little
LJ: Best compliment a client has ever given you?
One of my clients found a new salon, cheaper and closer to his house. He broke up with me and explained why, I told him I understood. Fast forward 2 months later I saw him on my books, he said “ I don’t care how far you are or how expensive it is, you are worth it
