Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for August, Andrea Wester! Andrea cuts in our salon in Palatine, IL and we are so proud to give her this feature! We asked her a few questions about life as a stylist and at Lady Jane's.

LJ: As a Wicked Awesome stylist, what's your favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

ANDREA: In Palatine we are a family, being a part of a great team and awesome clients makes coming to work such a pleasure. Also giving these men the best quality haircuts is very satisfying. And my coworkers are my family. In the 3 years I've been here I have grown so much with these girls.

LJ: Since sports is such a large part of the LJ experience, what's your favorite sports team & why?

ANDREA: Chicago Blackhawks, solely because they are a Chicago team that make you rally, Patrick Kane's mullet makes hockey worth watching!!

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

ANDREA: I listen to just about everything. I love women vocalists and anything I can sing to.

LJ: What do you enjoy?

ANDREA: I enjoy any time I get to spend with my amazing daughter, she is so full of life and seeing the world through her eyes is just utterly magical.

LJ: Scissor cuts or clipper cuts?

ANDREA: I love doing clippers on the sides and scissors on top because its fun to play with the length on top as well as a clean fade on the sides.

LJ: What is your favorite LJ product for guys to use?

ANDREA: Matte Separation is very easy to use and it is so versatile, it can be used in just about anyone's hair.

LJ: If you had a motto to live by, what would it be and why?

ANDREA: "Never let fear decide your fate." Don't let your fears keep you from achieving your dreams or hold you back in life.

LJ: What lead you to become a cosmetologist?

ANDREA: I loved coloring my hair starting at 13 years old and I thought I could do it as a career but when I first held clippers I fell in love with how they felt in my hand, they are essentially an extension to my hand!

LJ: And lastly, what's your 10 second pitch on why LJ is the ONLY place for a guy to get his hair cut?

ANDREA: Lady Jane's gives a great experience with fun girls who love what they do. You will also get a superb haircut.
