Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for November, Crystal! Crystal is a stylist at our Farmington Hills, MI location. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s.

LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

Crystal: I really enjoy the clients and different conversations I come across. We are surrounded by high energy and that always makes for an interesting day!

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

Crystal: Detroit Red Wings! I grew up watching them and it’s what I know! Football, thats another story. Why are the Lions always playing the refs?

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

Crystal: Country at heart. Classic rock and old school jams. Whatever flows in the day.

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

Crystal: Disc golf, Golf, some yoga, Netflix and chill.

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

Crystal: Over the years your favorite styles change. New tools always means a new cut or a new way to sculpt. A crisp clipper fade with a textured scissor cut on top always makes for a fresh style!!

LJ: What’s you favorite LJ product to use?

Crystal: I love the NEW Matte Clay by American Crew! Very pliable for different hair lengths. Great voluminous texture with a lasting hold to finish the textured look!

LJ: 10 second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut…

Crystal: Its the place to get pampered! We all need it! Not only do you get a fresh cut and hot lather neck shave, you can enjoy the relaxation of a scalp massage or cleansing facial in a place that is comfortable for men .

LJ: Favorite thing about working at LJ?

Crystal: Working in an exciting environment with talented stylists and a corporate staff who are all passionate about their work. You become like family growing together to achieve success!!

Not to mention, the amount of charitable events giving back to the communities!

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

Crystal: Smile! Attitude is everything! Always strive to be better than you were yesterday. Keep on keeping on!!

LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?

Crystal: Honestly, a horrible haircut. It was no mullet but it was chopped off far too short and I would never wish someone a cut they did not want! You should feel excellent after a fresh cut! This experience triggered an interest at age 10. I always found it fascinating watching other stylists work their magic!
