Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for September, Ashlee Felts! Ashlee is a stylist at our Ann Arbor, MI salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s.

LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

Making clients feel a sense of confidence again is really rewarding for me.

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

Detroit Pistons! I always have time to support the home team.

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

Being in such an artistic profession, I feel like my taste in music is all over the place. I like a good mix of everything.

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

My free time is always centered around my family. Every off day is a new adventure for my two little girls.

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

I prefer clippers over scissors. It's really satisfying how clean a clipper cut looks.

LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?

Matte Separation is always a staple for me.

LJ: 10-second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut...

If you love your job, it's reflective in your work. Our work speaks for itself. Lady Jane's cares about us as stylists, but also as people and that's really important for a work environment.

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

You don't just wake up and just become the butterfly. Growth is a process.

LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?

I became a cosmetologist because I love helping people feel confident and secure in who they are.
