Alicia Bunch, COO of Lady Jane's, caught up with a very excited Andrea to get a good look at the incredible girl who will represent Lady Jane's in 2021:

AB: When did you discover that you wanted a career in the beauty industry?
AF: People in my life saw that I had talent in the beauty
industry and encourage me to pursue what became my passion.
AB: What interested you in being part of the Lady Jane's Team?
AF: I know the tools that I need to become successful. I feel Lady Janes provides exactly that! Lady Jane's gives me corporate structure, but also allows me to have the freedom and independence to book my own clients and be my own boss!! And that has been a wonderful mentor!
AB: So, how long have you worked at LJ?
AF: I've been working for Lady Jane's for almost 4 years.
AB: Why do you think you were selected as the LJ Girl of the Year?
AF: I think I was selected because of my integrity, leadership and dedication to Lady Jane's!! I care about everyone that walks in the door, from the clients to the wonderful women that I work with and it really shows!
AB: In the salon, you’re on your feet and dealing with all kinds of challenges. What is it about LJ that motivates you?
AF: I really love what i do so it doesn't feel like work, I care to make people feel great so it motivates me to be better and serve!
AB: What has been your most memorable LJ moment?
AF: Meeting Chad Johnson the owner of Lady Jane's.
AB: How would you define success?
AF: I think success is define when you enjoy and love what you do and not do it just for “the job” when you believe in yourself are kind to others and have confidence in your product i dont think money describes your success only your passion for what you do and how you work with others and lead them to be successful through teamwork and leadership
AB: What haircut are you really digging right now for the fella's?
AF: I'm loving the The Surfer hair right now.
AB: What is your favorite men’s styling product right now?
AF: Im loving the “free spirit” look so i've been using the Sebastian drench styling elixir like a leave in conditioner and let all my guys do that sexy hair shake.
AB: How would your best friend describe you?
AF: I know she would say that I am very loyal, determined, kind and hardworking, she calls me a princess warrior!!
AB: Other than your career, what are you passionate about?
AF: THE GYM! Working out, staying active, and eating healthy foods is super important to me as well as helping guide others!
AB: Who do you look up to as a role model?
AF: I actually feel like I am my own role model.. I've been blessed to be able to learn from my own mistakes and make the best of every bad situation and rise above... coming alone from Colombia as a teenager I've learned to lean only on myself and on my own conviction!
AB: What are three things you can’t live without?
AF: I can't live without the gym, mascara, and comfy pants.
AB: What’s your motto/advice you live by?
AF: Be kind and be brave.
I came to America looking for the American dream and getting into this industry has shown me how to feel empowered and how to empower the people around me, I was a teenager with a dream and I became a woman with a vision.
LJ GIRL: WHAT IT TAKES TO BE WICKED AWESOME
I feel like what it takes to be wicked awesome is caring, being humble in your confidence yet courageous in your character. This allows you to be open to learning and creating new experiences and knowledge that you can pass on to your children and co-workers. Do everything with passion and conviction! Success is not about how much money you make but the difference that you make in people's lives and that is wicked awesome!
I’m very passionate about my job and in everything that I am interested in. Powerful things happen when you start putting in the work to achieve your goals, you become addicted to the progress and fall in love with the process! I believe that in life there's only 2 things that you can control and that is your attitude and your effort once you decide what you want. You need to believe that you can have it, believe that you deserve it and believe that it is possible for you. Be mindful, be grateful, be truthful and always be kind.
