Scott Ploski Wish
This past week, Wicked Awesome Wishes and Lady Jane’s had the privilege of meeting Scott Ploski and his family. Recently diagnosed with metastatic squamous cell carcinoma, a severe form of head and neck cancer, Scott faces a challenging road ahead.
His treatment plan is intensive, requiring radiation therapy five days a week and chemotherapy once a week.
Wicked Awesome Wishes and Lady Jane's Orlando engaged with our continued series of "A Kid Again Family Adventures," with the Crayola Experience. More than 1,000 kids with life altering conditions explored more than 25 creative attractions and activities, including naming and wrapping their own Crayola Crayon, starring in their own coloring page, bringing their art to life on the big screen, learning how crayons are made, and more. This past Thursday Wicked Awesome Wishes and Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men were honored to grant a wish in Clarkston for a new young mother, Sierra, with the help of some of her family and friends. Tragedy struck last month when Sierra's boyfriend passed away unexpectedly, leaving her and close family and friends in shock. To make a hard situation worse, Sierra was 38 weeks pregnant and almost ready to give birth to a baby girl.

This past week members of our Wicked Awesome Wishes and Lady Jane's team joined forces to help "Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K)" to give away free haircuts to students of all ages in Cleveland, OH!
This cause breaks barriers to school attendance by providing new shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need and is the only nonprofit effort in Cleveland doing this type of work. The event was designed around the kids with a bounce house, ice cream and food trucks, as well as…
Wicked Awesome Wishes and Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men partnered with A Kid Again to give some very amazing kids the "Star Treatment," at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. More than 1,000 kids with life-altering conditions and financial concerns were able to attend this first-class event free of charge. WAW provided financial support and Lady Jane's volunteers to show all the children what it is like to be treated like a star!
WAW and Lady Jane’s partnered with the Woodward Sports Network to help A Kid Again raise more than 50k for children with life-altering conditions.
Woodward Sports Talent and University of Michigan great, Braylon Edwards invited 2 lucky winners to play golf with him at the University of Michigan golf course.
